Studies have shown that it is the office relationships that take place between managers and their subordinates that cause they greatest degree of problems for both people involved, but especially the staff for dating who has to report daily to the manager.
That would be discriminatory. I said that I thought you were a good kisser, and, uh, and that I like your teeny tiny tushy. People sometimes act differently at work than they do in their personal life.
Relationships can be complicated…especially if that special someone is also a coworker. However, employers may have another opinion on the matter. Late nights, close quarters, happy hours, etc. Another policy some employers opt for is prohibiting couples from working together directly, such as in the same department.
We talked to some career experts about the real ramifications of what happens when you sleep with a coworker. But can they prohibit it?

IN some areas, sexual favoritism is also illegal or could be deemed discriminatory. Be sure to check your local and state laws and consult legal counsel when necessary. Fraternization can occur on different levels.

Fraternization in the workplace is often frowned upon because it can negatively affect work performance and might compromise the integrity of the company. But try your hardest not to let your disagreements with your partner affect the decisions you make or how your treat others at work. As a relationship becomes more serious, oftentimes one person will decide to leave the employer completely, because the more involved you are, the greater likelihood of the relationship interfering with your job.
What can I do to prevent this in the future?
If not, maybe that's something to consider. People either don't care, will think it's obnoxious or inappropriate, or will get jealous.
Meeting up with co-workers and managers outside of work for a drink or dinner does not cross the line into fraternization unless it results in favoritism or leads to inappropriate romantic relationships.
Some companies have policies that employees who fraternize, even if it coworkers not disrupt their work, can be fired without any further discussion. If the rumor mill goes into high gear, that might be the right time. Breaking fraternization policy rules that are strictly enforced can result in being fired for breach of contract. Some employers limit the prohibition to only those relationships in which one romantic partner has a role of authority over the other.
